Thanks so much for sharing your perspective and for expressing your concern. Of course couples therapy is never indicated in an abusive relationship, and never okay, period. Clearly I didn't state this clearly enough in my premise that mental health professionals need to find a treatment for people with NPD to combat the horrific abuse that people are suffering as a result. Couldn't agree more...so many people are suffering from this lack of empathy.
