Hi Sharon, thanks so much for leaving your comments and taking the time to express the immense difficulty with this problem. I couldn't agree more that treatment is incredibly difficult, even if someone does have insight into the nature of the problem, and almost impossible when they don't. Personality disorders are historically the most difficult to treat and I'm really hoping that the mental health field can put the time and research necessary to stop the abuse. 30 years ago Borderline Personality Disorder was considered untreatable, but the field has really turned this around. I'm hopeful we can do the same for NPD.
