Hi LadyHistorian, I'm so glad you took the time to share your thoughts and critiques and I completely understand where you are coming from and yes, of course agree that I have much more work to do to continue to educate myself about so many aspects of my field.

It gives me hope to see that Medium is a place where people can respectfully disagree.

I hold fast to my belief that all humans are worthy of compassion and that the field of psychology doesn't have the luxury of turning its back on anyone, but to keep researching and looking for funding even when it appears a certain population might appear "untreatable". That's not what scientists do. I am inspired by where we have come in cardiology and immunology and other fields that are way ahead of us.

Thanks again for reading my article and having the courage to leave your negative feedback for me which I take to heart. Of course I have Narcissistic traits that I need to keep in check just like we all do. All personality disorders are on a continuum so we all have a little of everything.
