It means so much to me that you took the time to read my piece and take the time to leave such a thoughtful response.

I know that when it comes to me being the B in the middle, it’s a very unsophisticated way to think of gender and sexuality and I appreciate your thoughts immensely. I simply feel such warmth and happiness connected to learning the word bisexual so very many years ago. As an adult, I am committed to staying humble and curious and open to learning about the complexity of gender and orientation.I recognize the exclusivity that language creates. And still in my own coming out story, I feel like there is the voice from the depths of a silent 12-year-old me waiting a very long time to say, “I like boys AND girls.” I’m a neophyte in my coming-out story and hope that I can evolve to integrate these different aspects of myself.
